The ubiquitous Transit has come a long way since its introduction to our roads way back in 1965.
The recent Transit Custom is a well-refined mid-sized panel van which is a pleasure to drive, has good reliability and has slightly more space in the rear than a comparable Transporter.
They are also slightly cheaper when compared on a like-for-like basis.

Larger panel vans such as the Mercedes Benz Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Renault Master, Fiat Ducato, etc., provide a lot more internal space, allowing scope for a toilet, shower, full-size bed, ample storage and greater versatility in specification and layout.
Kombi
A kombi conversion is an extremely practical option which is becoming very popular with people looking for an excellent 6-seat family vehicle which can revert to a full-size van in minutes thanks to quick-release seats, which are available as a triple bench, 2+1, or 1+1+1.
All seats, belts, brackets, and chassis strengthening plates supplied and fitted by us are genuine Volkswagen and we will issue a completion certificate and relevant photos as proof of professional installation.
Side windows, sound deadening, insulation, carpet lining and a choice of flooring are included as standard, and a wide range of optional extras are available.
This makes the Kombi a very versatile vehicle with more space, far greater boot capacity and lower running costs than a 4 x 4.
Kombicamper
All the advantages of a Kombi plus the addition of a slide-out rear kitchen, full-width bed and leisure battery.
The kitchen occupies the space behind the rear seats and simply slides out to provide a full kitchen with a double hob, sink, storage space and fresh and wastewater tanks.
A shower head and lighting can also be included.
One advantage of this system is that it keeps cooking smells and steam outside of the van.
The double bed system folds out up to the collapsed rear seat to form a full-size flat bed.
The system which we supply and recommend is designed and built by Slidepods, is available in a wide range of colours and is the best in the business.
The whole system can be installed/removed within minutes.

Full camper
A full camper conversion will include a fully functioning kitchen with storage cupboards, drawers and a wardrobe, rear seats which collapse to form a double bed, 240V hook-up and usually an elevating roof and independent powered heating.
The options for kitchen/storage layout, colour and bed/rear seating arrangement are very varied and can be tailored to suit your preferences and requirements.
All furniture is manufactured from high-strength lightweight ply and built to be an exact fit for your van.
Pop top roofs are available as front or rear opening and can be supplied with or without an additional bed.
Day van
The definition of a day van is wide and varied meaning different things to different people. Essentially a semi-campervan featuring some but not all of the elements of a full campervan. It may or may not have any of the following; Cooking facilities, washing provision, extra seats and / or bed, independent heating, a pop top. Most will probably have a table.
Our take on the ever popular day van is the
WEEKENDER
Suitable for all panel vans or kombis [rear seats removed] Mid sized vans benefit from a full king sized bed. Smaller vans will have a full sized bed with size dependent on van size. The bed is in two parts and is assembled / disassembled in minutes. The rear section forms a 'parcel shelf' just above the rear wheel arches and can be used as a seat when stationery. The front section sits on top of the rear section until required to form the bed. Everything folds flat for easy storage. The bed is supplied carpet lined and with a memory foam mattress which rolls up for easy storage. There is ample storage under the bed for bedding, camping stove, table, supplies etc.
A wide choice of options can be added.
